Late Transfer In
School.
It had been such a long time, but Mana was ready to return to what amounted to a normal life. Albeit a normal life in a Magical Girl school. Even the men were magical, and it was making her surprised.
If only these many people were in her world when...
She shook her head as a small form alighted on her shoulder. "Are you okay, Mana?"
"Ah... Cheryl, I'm fine..." Mana smiled, a little sadly as she gripped her tattered cloak and hat. "I just... it's been a long time since I was in school."
Later on, Mana was standing in the front of the class, looking out of place. She was definitely older than some, and yet there was a smile on her face. Some familiar with her might notice some differences in Mana from her usual appearance, as she bowed. "Hello everyone, I'm Mana Aida, from Doki Doki World. I'm glad to meet everyone here."
Her usual enthusiasm was tempered a little by the smile she had which spoke she was tired, but she nodded to everyone. "I hope I can answer questions about my world, as I hear it's different than the usual world Precure come from. I'm also known as Cure Heart."

Class: Combat
It's the start of a new day and the start of a very special elective course at Crux Academy. With most of the classes at the Academy focusing on either the magical or the mundane, it seems like there's at least one thing very crucial to the life of a hero that's gone suspiciously absent: fighting.
And that's where this course comes in. An elective, because the guy running it couldn't convince the staff to make it mandatory, but one open to all years from newcomers to seniors, and if the subject matter isn't enough to draw attention, the teacher is supposed to be some kind of legendary hero! That's worth looking into it, isn't it?
The room's pretty sparse, nothing but desks and a black blackboard... there's only one thing missing. The teacher himself. Minutes pass by after the supposed start of the class, until one might question whether it's starting at all. All of a sudden, the door bangs open and in stumbles a tall, gangly man in black and grey with a red cape, messy hair, days worth of scratchy stubble on his chin and a coffee mug in his hand. He looks out over his students, squints, grunts and walks over to the teacher's desk, sitting down heavily in the chair and helping himself to some of that coffee. Assuming that's only coffee in there with nothing extra added in there.
Finally, setting his cup down, Qrow leans over the desk and scans over the assembled students before apparently settling on one up near the front.
"You." He nods at the student, and raises a hand to point at them. "... What're you doing here?"
Or Later On....
After or in between classes, Qrow would likely be lounging around somewhere on the campus. Wherever it is, he's using the opportunity to sneak a flask out from a pocket and enjoy a drink in peace and quiet. He figures his students have probably had enough of him at this point, same with the faculty but who knows....
There always seems to be somebody to bother him these days.

Classwork - Open for All
The appearance of a wizard on campus was news, as Rinko strode to the pedestal of the lecture hall.
"Good morning class, and welcome to Ring Magic 101." She was a bit nervous but confident she could pull this off, as she held up her hand with an ornate ring on the middle finger.
"This special elective for the school is something new, something I've been asked to teach. My name is Rinko Daimon, and I am a wizard."
She picked up another ring from the podium and slid it onto her right hand. "We wizards use magic stones set into rings, and I will be teaching you the basics on how to handle, encounter, and deal with a wizard if they ever go rogue, or a phantom who might appear."
Placing her hand at her waist, a male voice proclaimed "FLOWER NOW."
Flowers bloomed on each persons desk. "Ring magic is very versatile, and comes in many forms. From utility to battle magic."
"So, be prepared to learn."

WE'VE GOT SCHOOL SPIRIT!

With the first term of the school year in full swing, and the first few weeks going off without a hitch, clubs, intramural teams and official sports teams at both Crux Academy and Nebulae Institute have begun meeting for the first time. With a wide number of different extra curricular and other various things to do around campus outside of class, students are highly encouraged to take part in one or multiple goings-on around their school. Both schools will be hosting an involvement fair (at different times, conveniently enough) in order to bolster enrollment in the various clubs or teams, and students are encouraged to at least give these different opportunities a try.
Not seeing a club or organization that catches your fancy? That's all right! Just make one yourself. So long as you have enough members (neither school has gone into too much detail about what constitutes "enough"), and are willing to share--or fight for, as the case may be--club room or field space, then you're set!
Interested in taking a more responsible approach? Various businesses around Galactica have begun hiring part time students. While many of the jobs are more than willing to take on Crux students, there are a few establishments that seem to prefer the cunning ways of Nebulae's student body. These jobs run the gamut between retail, babysitting, hospitality--really anything.
Additionally, the vocational school for monsters is looking for assistance in getting their students real-world experience. Be it helping them terrorize the town or giving them something to fight, this volunteer work is easy enough to find, and a good way to get some real world experience. Participation is highly encouraged.
[[Please use this as an open log for club activity, part-time jobs, monster fighting, whatever seems appropriate!]]

Crux Academy | OPEN
Among the many sights to see around the Academy is the large grouping of rocks off to one side in the courtyard. Largely out of the way true, but still enough to oddly stand out in the otherwise tidy campus. Day in and day out they just sit there without a sign of changing. At least until one day.
One morning just as the day is getting underway, the sunlight hits the odd formation and it moves. Great big boulders lift up on their own accord and blank, grey stone gives way to rust-colored scales and a pair of truly impressive wings spread out as the old dragon stretches out and yawns, large teeth glinting in the morning sun.
With his morning stretch done, the beast settles down and looks around to blink at the bustle of a new school year already well under way.
"Oh, dear." He muttered, deep voice rumbling away. "I've slept in again."
These naps of his just kept getting longer with age. Or perhaps the time between school years was just shrinking.

Tsubasa has put up posters for the Japanese Culture Appreciation Club. Most of them are fairly innocuous, with pictures of sushi, ninja, and various other archetypically Japanese things. There is one that stands out more than the others though. It has a crude drawing of what is probably a samurai flanked by impeccably brushed text. Tsubasa's bad at drawing, but excellent at calligraphy.
"Join the Japanese Culture Appreciation Club Today!" It says, followed by "For more details, please contact Miss Kazanari at the staff room" in smaller text at the bottom.
Because Tsubasa really wants her club to do well, she's going to be sneaking around the grounds watching for people who seem interested.

An email is sent to everyone in the school. Those who dare to open the video attached get to see Tsubasa and Maria's mugs filling the screen as they set up. For a former pop star Tsubasa's surprisingly terrible at dealing with the camera.
"Ahem, ahem. Good day everyone, the Japanese Culture Appreciation Club and the Cooking Club are organising a joint event next Friday. We will be watching the classic period film Seven Samurai. For the Cooking Club, Miss Cadenza- zav- Miss Maria?"
"The cooking club will be making snacks for everyone to eat and enjoy while watching the movie." Maria tried to hold it together and look like a teacher, trying not to laugh at Tsubasa failing to say her last name correctly.
"And if you like what you see, you are always free to join either club. Or even both, if you're really dedicated! Please consider it!" Tsubasa nodded seriously before turning to her partner with a "Maria, don't laugh!"
"Saying not to laugh isn't helping." Guess it was one of the silly perks of having a dense sword partner.
"If you can make it to the joint event it will be a lot of fun. Any leftovers food wise you can bring home as well." Maria was mainly interested in the last part since having tasty food always made her feel happy. Meaning everyone was going to make a lot of food even if they didn't really notice right away.
"Your name is just really difficult, okay?" Tsubasa's more than a little embarrassed as she reaches for the camera to turn it off.

Tsubasa and Maria can be found in the staff room, chatting and waiting for anyone who wants to join their clubs.
((If you want Tsubasa or Maria specifically feel free. Brackets and prose are both fine.))

open action for crux academy
[ There's a nice wind blowing over this academy.
Haruka can feel it as she parks her motorcycle next to the athletic fields, the early-morning sun catching in her hair when she removes her helmet. It whistles around the buildings and embraces the students, already hard at work to fulfill their full potential and defend the Earth.
And it's Haruka's Mission to ensure they're ready.
She takes a deep breath. Then, smiling, she swings herself off her motorcycle and heads to the track to set up and test their equipment. Might as well see what they're dealing with...
Don't walk too close to the track on the way to class, students. You might get distracted by the sight of the phys ed teacher not only clearing the highest possible bar for high jumping, but doing so in slow motion, sparkles streaming from her body, with room to spare.
The twirl before she lands on the mats is just overkill. ]

NEW BEGINNINGS

Spring is here and newest crop of students have finally arrived at Crux Academy and Nebulae Institute. Both campuses are abuzz with activity as first years filter in, some confused, others excited and honored to be attending such a prestigious institution. Class assignments would be found on the large bulletin board toward the front of campus, and while some friends may find themselves once again sharing the same class, others will be given the opportunity to nurture new relationships with future friends (or enemies).
Classes for the first day will be short, punctuated by a welcoming ceremony led by each school's respective headmaster and headmistress, as well as an upperclassman that has some significance to the rest of the student body. Students are then permitted to take the rest of the day for themselves, to get acclimated to the campus as well as Galactica, should they so choose. Why not explore the school? Take a trip into the city? Or perhaps get to know your dorm mate, classmates or fellow faculty members? Or perhaps, if you are that sort of person, terrorize the town? The choice is yours.
[[ This post signals the opening of the dressing room! Feel free to use it as a catch-all, or create your own posts should you so desire. Welcome everyone and have fun! ]]
