WE'VE GOT SCHOOL SPIRIT!

With the first term of the school year in full swing, and the first few weeks going off without a hitch, clubs, intramural teams and official sports teams at both Crux Academy and Nebulae Institute have begun meeting for the first time. With a wide number of different extra curricular and other various things to do around campus outside of class, students are highly encouraged to take part in one or multiple goings-on around their school. Both schools will be hosting an involvement fair (at different times, conveniently enough) in order to bolster enrollment in the various clubs or teams, and students are encouraged to at least give these different opportunities a try.

Not seeing a club or organization that catches your fancy? That's all right! Just make one yourself. So long as you have enough members (neither school has gone into too much detail about what constitutes "enough"), and are willing to share--or fight for, as the case may be--club room or field space, then you're set!

Interested in taking a more responsible approach? Various businesses around Galactica have begun hiring part time students. While many of the jobs are more than willing to take on Crux students, there are a few establishments that seem to prefer the cunning ways of Nebulae's student body. These jobs run the gamut between retail, babysitting, hospitality--really anything.

Additionally, the vocational school for monsters is looking for assistance in getting their students real-world experience. Be it helping them terrorize the town or giving them something to fight, this volunteer work is easy enough to find, and a good way to get some real world experience. Participation is highly encouraged.

[ Why is the air so full of glitter over here? Did a magical girl battle take place?

Not quite! When told they'd need to promote their activities, the newest Cooking Club member has decided to host a Princess Tea Party! Come enjoy nothing but the finest of teas and the most delightfully light and fancy of confections, paired flawlessly by your hostess, Towa. Who looks pleased as punch to be here. This is something she knows how to do! She can use her skills to promote her club! ]

[ Did you know Galactica has its own chain of fake-hipster coffeeshops?! In support of the nearby school, it's called Starcrux, and they're hiring! Aggressively! There's a manager outside shoving flyers at people and hurrying unsuspecting students inside to fill out application paperwork!

Their most recent victim is running about attempting to fix six different drinks on her own right now. ] Good day! In what might I interest y---ah!

[ Towa is not usually clumsy. But the tea party she'd hosted is really much more of a Princess's speed than this.

Watch out for flying coffee. ]

[Kamala tried not to scream.

She really did.

But when hot coffee pours all over you, well...]

Do excuse me! I am so, so sorry!!

[ Leaving the cups she'd been working with alone, Towa hurries around to the other side of the counter with a towel in hand. She'll dab at the coffee all over Kamala if the other girl lets her. ] Were you injured??

[ No burns?? ]

[Through gritted teeth, she shook her head as Kamala let Towa dab at her.] N-no, it was more of a shock than anything else. The coffee wasn't THAT hot.

[It stung, but it wasn't full on burns. Her skin was a bit red though.]

This is completely impermissible of me. [ Towa still looks worried. She finishes cleaning up as best she can. ] Please, if your clothes need laundering, I can cover the costs....and I'll cover your order, should you still wish to....

[ Has she cost this organization a sale in addition to inconveniencing this girl? Dear her. Towa hopes she isn't completely unsuited for being an employee. This was going to be such a big step for her! ]

No, no, it's fine. This is an old shirt and pants anyhow, so it's not like it was a major problem. [Really, the only problem was that Kamala was sticky now from the drinks.]

I'll just need to wash up, it's fine!

Ah, the washroom's in the back.... [ Towa gestures as solicitously as she can to the back, then turns her attention to the coffee on the floor. ] I'll move your order to the front of the queue just as soon as you're ready!

[ There's grumbling from the customers around her at that, though, and Towa looks down at the floor with a somewhat discouraged expression. Even when she tries to be thoughtful, she really is doing this poorly. ]

[Admittedly Kamala felt bad for Towa, as she went and cleaned up. Coming out of the room however, she noticed that the floor hadn't been cleaned up yet. Grabbing the nearby mop, she began to help out.]

You can serve these people while I finish up here, okay?

Are you certain...? [ Towa tries to find the proper words to protest. This was her mistake! She should bear the brunt of it!

Yet serving the customers should be her first priority right now, and she can't afford to be ungracious. ] You have my gratitude!

[ All right, what was the next drink order...? Towa forces herself not to hurry beyond her ability to focus. One step at a time. One step at a time will get everyone served.

[Phew, she's finally here. She'd ended up coming into the Academy a little later than most thanks to a quick overseas trip for a photo shoot but better late than never!

And what a time to arrive. Things were really in full swing around here and she's pretty eager to make the rounds and see what the place has to offer. There's a friend here that she's already gone far too long without seeing and she's got to fix that before she does anything else.

It isn't hard to find just where Towa's set up and she pauses a second to laugh quietly at the sign pointing towards it, just what she'd expect from Towachi, before stepping into view.]

Hii! [She grins wide, winking at her friend.] I heard there was a tea party going on over here.

Good day. [ Her roommate came! Towa is pleased and touched.

She gestures to the abundance of open chairs, still determined not to break character as the hostess of the tea party. Kirara is also a professional. Towa trusts she will understand. ] Please, sit wherever you'd like...

[Oh, that's how they're doing it. Towa needn't have worried, Kirara's quick to catch on. Clearing her throat with a light cough, she steps away from the doorway assuming a more proper stance.]

Good day. [She inclines her head a little as she answers. It's a little stuffier than her normal style but it's important to Towa so she's happy to play along. Crossing the room, she chooses a chair and sits down straight-backed and looking over Towa's work.] Wow, this is a real great setup. You really put a lot of work into this, Towachi.

[ This time, Towa can't hide the way her cheeks color in pleasure at the compliment. ] The Cooking Club is versed in various entertainments.

Would you care for refreshments? [ Cookies. Cookies for miles. Also petit fours. If it's tiny and dainty and fancy, Towa probably has it.

...but no donut holes. This is not quite that sort of party. ]

[It's just the truth as far as she's concerned, but then, this really is Towa's element. That blush is awful cute too, but she refrains from teasing her about it. She's still playing the proper tea party guest after all.]

I'd love some. [Any party is a donut party, at least as far as Kirara's concerned! All the same it's hard to argue with this kind of cookie game, and she tilts her head with a light laugh as she looks over the assorted snacks.] I'm not quite sure where to start though.

If I might make a suggestion.... [ Using a small silver pair of tongs, Towa selects a few of the cookies and arranges them attractively on a plate. Setting it in front of Kirara, she carefully begins preparing a pot of tea. ]

The mild flavors of these treats complement the floral undertones of the tea. It's best if allowed to steep briefly, so please pardon the wait.

[ No tea bags for a Princess Party. She's preparing this with fresh leaves. ]

[Oooh, those cookies do look good. That's to be expected of Towachi though, she really knows her stuff!]

Oh, that's no problem. It's nice to not be in a rush for a little while. [She sits back a bit to wait on the tea, still sitting straight-backed and proper. A little chitchat while waiting for tea sounds nice about now.] So, I guess you've been having a lot of fun with the cooking club?

[It's a bit of a relief. Her work's been pulling her away from school quite often recently, so it's good to see Towa fitting in on her own.]

[ Towa nods, looking up from the tea leaves to smile. ] Indeed! An upperclassman I met in town turned out to have been a member.

[ Ah, the tea is ready. She begins to pour it. ] And it's excellent practice in lieu of Princess Lessons.

[Mami is, of course, a member of the Cooking Club. She loves to bake -- and cook all sorts of things, really. But baking is her favorite, which she pursues eagerly. But tea parties!]

[She so loves them. And so she shows up, hands clasped before her, as she takes a look around.]

Oh, why, this looks splendid!

[Hi Towa!]

[ Oh, thank goodness, Towa is encountering Mami again in a field she excels in. She'll be able to properly show the other girl her gratitude now. ] Mami, wasn't it? Good day.

[ She must not get bashful. She must not. She is a Princess inviting a friend to her tea party. That is all. ] Would you care to join me?

Mm-hmm. It's nice to see you again, Towa. [She smiles, with a slight bow at her waist. It's the proper thing to do for a fabulous tea party! (Or curtsy, but she feels like bowing.)]

I'd be happy to. Shall we?

With pleasure. [ Here's a spare chair for Mami. Please do take a seat. ]

Recipes for everything here are taught in the Cooking Club. [ Of which she is such a new member she has yet to look over the full roster. Whoops. She is trying to make a good first impression on the faculty supervisor. ]

Why, thank you! And, ah, yes, we do! [She smiles, though. Quite all right. Towa's new, and she can't blame her for not knowing every member of a club. Mami sits down, happily.]

[ Oh no. Oh dear. Towa manages to sputter, but only because princesses don't sputter. She does bow her head, though. ] Please forgive my oversight....
