WE'VE GOT SCHOOL SPIRIT!

With the first term of the school year in full swing, and the first few weeks going off without a hitch, clubs, intramural teams and official sports teams at both Crux Academy and Nebulae Institute have begun meeting for the first time. With a wide number of different extra curricular and other various things to do around campus outside of class, students are highly encouraged to take part in one or multiple goings-on around their school. Both schools will be hosting an involvement fair (at different times, conveniently enough) in order to bolster enrollment in the various clubs or teams, and students are encouraged to at least give these different opportunities a try.

Not seeing a club or organization that catches your fancy? That's all right! Just make one yourself. So long as you have enough members (neither school has gone into too much detail about what constitutes "enough"), and are willing to share--or fight for, as the case may be--club room or field space, then you're set!

Interested in taking a more responsible approach? Various businesses around Galactica have begun hiring part time students. While many of the jobs are more than willing to take on Crux students, there are a few establishments that seem to prefer the cunning ways of Nebulae's student body. These jobs run the gamut between retail, babysitting, hospitality--really anything.

Additionally, the vocational school for monsters is looking for assistance in getting their students real-world experience. Be it helping them terrorize the town or giving them something to fight, this volunteer work is easy enough to find, and a good way to get some real world experience. Participation is highly encouraged.

[Admittedly Kamala felt bad for Towa, as she went and cleaned up. Coming out of the room however, she noticed that the floor hadn't been cleaned up yet. Grabbing the nearby mop, she began to help out.]

You can serve these people while I finish up here, okay?

Are you certain...? [ Towa tries to find the proper words to protest. This was her mistake! She should bear the brunt of it!

Yet serving the customers should be her first priority right now, and she can't afford to be ungracious. ] You have my gratitude!

[ All right, what was the next drink order...? Towa forces herself not to hurry beyond her ability to focus. One step at a time. One step at a time will get everyone served.

One large hot cocoa, three of these....caramel confections.... ]

[Despite herself, Kamala could only smile a little at Towa's eagerness to work. It seemed like this was all new for her, working retail, and she continued to help out as much as possible.

From the floors went to the spill on the table nearby and picking up the cups that had fallen.]

[ After what seems like an eternity and was probably only several minutes, Towa places the last of her drink order backlog on the serving bar. She allows herself a brief moment to catch her breath - hiding her sigh behind her hand - and then looks over at her customer. That is really too good of this person. ] I'm...prepared to start your order, now.

Thanks, and don't worry about cleaning, these are ratty things I'm wearing.

[Getting back in line, she said,] Okay can I get a double double?

A double....double. [ Towa starts looking for that on the cash register. There are no buttons with that written on it, but after some worried thinking, she thinks she has it punched in correctly. Then, she has to say it's on the house....is that this button...? Is there even a button... ] That will be ready shortly...

[ But did she ring it up right? Who knows. Either way, the price is now displaying for Kamala to double-check. ]

[Kamala checked the price and made a face.] Um, that's a little high for a coffee with two sugar two cream right?

[Maybe she shouldn't have been using coffee lingo?]

Ah, excuse me... [ Void transaction....There. Re-ring this up.....there. But note it's on the house....should she put a note on the receipt in case anyone asks...?

But here's a cup, and here's a pen. This part she should be able to do. ] May I have your name?

Not a problem. And it's Kamala. K-a-m-a-l-a. Kamala.

[At least she was trying, right? And Towa seemed like she was struggling, but Kamala had the patience to wait.]

...m-a-l-a. [ There. Time to try this again. ] It'll just take a moment!

[ And lo and behold, "coffee with two cream and two sugar" is not beyond her skill set. In fact, when Kamala's coffee is finally placed on the counter for pickup, she'll find it's actually very tasty. ]

Thanks! And don't worry about a thing, I cleaned up for you so that you could get to your backlog, [said Kamala with a smile. Taking her drink, she sipped it.]

Ah hey this is pretty good!

[ Towa regains some of her poise at the compliment. In fact, for a moment as she flicks a curl off her shoulder, she looks almost regal. ] Hospitality is second nature to -

[ ....wait. She shouldn't out herself as a Princess when living in this world. She comes off the high horse. ] ....Crux Academy students.

[ Nailed it. ]

[Yeah that looked very regal to Kamala.]

I'd enjoy that. [ But wait, she isn't here in a personal capacity! She must work for the good of this organization!
