NEW BEGINNINGS

Spring is here and newest crop of students have finally arrived at Crux Academy and Nebulae Institute. Both campuses are abuzz with activity as first years filter in, some confused, others excited and honored to be attending such a prestigious institution. Class assignments would be found on the large bulletin board toward the front of campus, and while some friends may find themselves once again sharing the same class, others will be given the opportunity to nurture new relationships with future friends (or enemies).

Classes for the first day will be short, punctuated by a welcoming ceremony led by each school's respective headmaster and headmistress, as well as an upperclassman that has some significance to the rest of the student body. Students are then permitted to take the rest of the day for themselves, to get acclimated to the campus as well as Galactica, should they so choose. Why not explore the school? Take a trip into the city? Or perhaps get to know your dorm mate, classmates or fellow faculty members? Or perhaps, if you are that sort of person, terrorize the town? The choice is yours.

[And Kamala plants a giant boot in its face, and kicks it back into the building.] Stay down!

[ ....Where Scarlet is from, a Princess should aim to be "strong, kind, and beautiful." Her new acquaintance certainly appears to have mastered the first requirement.

She overcomes her surprise (and her admiration) in time to remember regal posture for her curtsy. ] My name is Cure Scarlet. Good day.

[ There's introductions. She pulls a violin out of seemingly nowhere (her hair, maybe?) and places it beneath her chin, eyes on the fallen monster. ] Shall we dispatch the enemy together, Ms. Marvel?

Ah, good day.

["Carol" nodded as she cracked her knuckles.] All right, lead on. All my attacks are physical.

[almostanthy]

[ Returning that nod, Scarlet pulls out a dress-shaped key from beneath one of the folds of fabric in her dress and affixes it to the top of her violin. ] Fireworks!

[ A few bars of music on the violin, and... ] Burn, o flames! Precure Scarlet Spark!

[ Bursts of flame shoot out of her violin bow, arcing towards the monster. Cure Scarlet's appearance isn't the only thing about her that's slightly over-elaborate. ]

[Yeah, Kamala had nothing like that. So when the fire impacted, she slammed her fist into its jaw. The monster summarily expired with a flash of light, dropping to the ground and turning into a hat.]

Well... that's that I suppose. Thanks for the assist, I don't think I could have beat it by myself.

It was nothing. [ But no matter how regal Scarlet is trying to seem, there's the hint of a pleased smile tugging at the corners of her lips.

She glances about, making sure there's no one around in need of rescuing. The monsters she's used to dealing with are born from people's dreams. ] You're a Crux student, I presume?

Ah, yeah. Is it that obvious?

[At least, for Kamala, this wasn't her true form and all.] I dunno, I don't feel very magical at all, but I guess what I can do is kind of magic.

[almostanthy]

[ Scarlet's smile doesn't fade. However Ms. Marvel feels, they defeated a monster together. That is plenty virtuous, and that's what counts the most. ] We shall meet again.

Good day. [ And with that, she'll turn to take her leave. ]
