NEW BEGINNINGS
Spring is here and newest crop of students have finally arrived at Crux Academy and Nebulae Institute. Both campuses are abuzz with activity as first years filter in, some confused, others excited and honored to be attending such a prestigious institution. Class assignments would be found on the large bulletin board toward the front of campus, and while some friends may find themselves once again sharing the same class, others will be given the opportunity to nurture new relationships with future friends (or enemies).
Classes for the first day will be short, punctuated by a welcoming ceremony led by each school's respective headmaster and headmistress, as well as an upperclassman that has some significance to the rest of the student body. Students are then permitted to take the rest of the day for themselves, to get acclimated to the campus as well as Galactica, should they so choose. Why not explore the school? Take a trip into the city? Or perhaps get to know your dorm mate, classmates or fellow faculty members? Or perhaps, if you are that sort of person, terrorize the town? The choice is yours.

[ That is a boldfaced lie, based on how she's still staring at that pastry. It looks delicious and she's totally hungry, but she's not going to start a conversation and just talk about how hungry she is (despite the fact that inevitably, this conversation's going to be totally about food). She takes the directions in, committing them to memory...but she still can't help but stare at that delicious looking pastry. ]
What kind of sweet is that? Does it have filling inside?
[ It's an undisputed fact that the filling ones are the best. ]

Yeah, it does. Blueberry. [He shuffles the bag in his hand so it hands from his forearm and carefully pulls the pastry in half, holding the part still in the wrapper out to the hungry girl.] Here, why don't you take half and see if you like it? I'm not all that hungry either.

[ and yet....she's totally taking the half of his pastry and takes a big bite out of it. Put your money where your mouth is, Hime. As she takes a bite of the pastry, Hime's eyes light up and, still through a mouth full of food, ] This is so good!

[Not that she seems to need any reassurance as she goes ahead and takes the snack right out of his hand anyway. Grinning a bit, he follows suit and takes a bit, raising his eyebrows at the pastry.]
Huh, this is really good. You know, I've never actually gone to that place before.

[ And, seeing that this guy's a potential friend, Hime pretty much just shoves her hand in Link's face. He gave her food, he's a cool person, definitely friend material in her book. ] I'm Hime Shirayuki, by the way! It's nice to meet you!
[ The way to Hime's friendship is through her stomach, apparently. ]

Sure, I could visit there agai-- [And suddenly there's a hand shoved in his face, prompting him to blink and tilt his head back a bit. He recovers a second later, laughing a bit and shifting his stuff to one hand to free up the other to shake Hime's hand.] You too, I'm Link. Are you new here?
