[First-day festivities are always busy to begin with, and even more when you're habitually up before the sun even rises. Finally, though, the morning had come to an end and left his afternoon free to... head into town and run some errands. Pick up supplies for the year, that kind of thing.
Fortunately, he'd been in a grocery store when he'd realized he hadn't had anything to eat since his early start and picked up something simple for himself. He'd just been about to take his first bite when he suddenly found himself face to face with a tiny ball of blue hair staring up at his meal with ravenous eyes.]
Ah... [He pauses with the fresh-baked pastry just short of his open mouth and blinks down at Hime, his other hand holding a shopping bag full of various vegetables and foods, like a big bundle of carrots. A second to gather himself and he lowers his hand, gesturing back the way he'd come.] Uh... there's a shop back down that way. It's a little far from here though.
[Turning back, he glances at the girl thoughtfully.]
