NEW BEGINNINGS

Spring is here and newest crop of students have finally arrived at Crux Academy and Nebulae Institute. Both campuses are abuzz with activity as first years filter in, some confused, others excited and honored to be attending such a prestigious institution. Class assignments would be found on the large bulletin board toward the front of campus, and while some friends may find themselves once again sharing the same class, others will be given the opportunity to nurture new relationships with future friends (or enemies).

Classes for the first day will be short, punctuated by a welcoming ceremony led by each school's respective headmaster and headmistress, as well as an upperclassman that has some significance to the rest of the student body. Students are then permitted to take the rest of the day for themselves, to get acclimated to the campus as well as Galactica, should they so choose. Why not explore the school? Take a trip into the city? Or perhaps get to know your dorm mate, classmates or fellow faculty members? Or perhaps, if you are that sort of person, terrorize the town? The choice is yours.

[ Well, except Noxians. Or maybe Zaunites. Or people from Bilgewater.

Okay, maybe not EVERYONE everyone, but most everyone. ]

Superheroes?

[ Lux blinks a few times. Wait, what was a "super" hero? You've piqued her interest. ]

Well, heroes become heroes for different reasons. As explained to me, you have to be chosen to become a Precure, a Sentai team arises depending on the circumstance, and Riders tend to work alone in their world.

Yeah, Superheoes. That's the general term for the three types of heroes in my world: Precure, Sentai, Rider. Although some are debating if Riders are superheroes, since they exist in another parallel world.

[It's not as if he was ever interested in confronting her on any kind of even playing field. Besides, a crowded street like this, if he really wanted to throw down he'd have his pick of innocent citizens with their bright and shining dreams.

If Lux is on high alert than Lock's just... about as calm as he can be. Slouched a little, hands in his pockets.]

Friends? Nah, that's not my style. [He shrugs a shoulder, sighing.] Who wants to waste their time hanging around and watching the new kids wander around with those stupid looks on their faces? I'd much rather come into town and see if I could find something fun to do. But so far it looks like you're boring too.

[ He was toying with her. If he really had any aim to do anything, he would have done it by now. Flipping her hair a bit with her hand, she put the same hand on her hip. ]

I'm not here to entertain some pastry-throwing thug. I have better things to do with my time off.

[ Like apparently stand here and snark instead. Details. ]

Riders? Sentai?

[ She obviously knew what a Precure was, if her dormmate was any indication. There were quite a few here, in fact. Educate her, new friend. ]

[ She is none the wiser. ]

Oh, right, of course.

[ Lux thought you meant skipping the ceremony entirely, which would not fly. Did she have anything going on after convocation? ]

I suppose I could.

[ she flinches a bit at the sound of an unfamiliar voice and shrinks back a little, hands gripping the map tight enough to crinkle the paper. After a moment, she manages to swallow and wet her dry mouth enough that, when she nods, she can follow it up with some words, too. ]

I--I... was looking for the dormitories but I'm... I--I'm not really sure where I am or where I'm going... I keep getting turned around.

They're armored fighters, who fight for the safety of the world just like Precure do. Although they fight for different things than love and justice.

Riders are defined by belt transformation devices typically, and Sentai work in groups. The real difference is that Sentai also drive giant robots, and Riders tend to have differing powers.

[He blinks a bit seeing the girl flinch and shrink back from his approach. Wow... she's really nervous about being in this place. He stays where he is, lowering his hands to his sides and nodding.]

Well... you're actually pretty far off from the dorms. [He edges forward a bit, raising a hand toward her.] If you let me see your map, I can show you where you are.

I offered, didn't I?

[Not that she seems to need any reassurance as she goes ahead and takes the snack right out of his hand anyway. Grinning a bit, he follows suit and takes a bit, raising his eyebrows at the pastry.]

Huh, this is really good. You know, I've never actually gone to that place before.

[At least this time he has the graces to drop his smirk, looking a little bit disappointed at Lux's stalwart refusal to take offense to his remarks. He tilts his head a little bit.]

Hmm... and now you're calling me names. I would've thought that a student at Crux Academy wouldn't be that rude... just my luck, I ran into the class dunce.

[A shrug.]

Buuut, I guess the hair should've been a dead giveaway.

[Seriously? Eas didn't exactly take very kindly to people getting all up in her grill. Specifically when she's holding a doughnut.

Her eyes narrow as they meet Hime's. Then she slowly raises a hand and shoos her back.]

Back up and I might consider telling you.

[Kirino's not entirely ruling out 'abducted by magical aliens,' in his own case.

Still, when he hears Neptune address him, he perks up from staring at the auditorium ceiling in boredom, flashing the other a smile.]

Around here? I'm afraid not. Are you new, too?

Yup~! Master Eva, the leader of our idol group and a really powerful person who lives forever! He's really cool and beautiful, he really old yet he physically looks really young!

[You can tell he is just excited over talking about him, look what you did Lux.]

[Did someone say mildly peeved? Eas was just minding her own business when she noticed Neptune in the store and his disposition. She couldn't help but wonder if it was possible to make things any worse for him.

She approaches a gives him a curious glance.]

Oh, that's not bad. I totally know where the better stuff if you want a better lunch though.

[He pouts, but he sits next to her anyways even if uninvited.]

It's way more fun to break into the kitchens and grab the way more delicious stuff! The commoner slop has poisoning for flavor in it so really, don't eat too much of it.

[He knows the kitchens and menus off of pure memory, mastering every smell and taste down to the bone. Having a magical stomach does that.]

[Konata whines like a (fittingly) little girl, then points at Lux!]

You! You know this place better, so while I'm away from Miyuki-san, you're directing where do we go.

[Eas was just about to take a bite into a rather delicious looking doughnut when Ban approaches. Instead she lowers the pastry and gives him a narrow eyed glare.

This is one of the few things she enjoys and she isn't about to let someone ruin that.]

Are you blind or just dumb? It's a doughnut.

Hn... Blue Sky Kingdom does sound like something coming out of a fantasy manga. I don't think I've heard of Pikarigaoka Prefecture, but neither have people so far known about Saitama Prefecture.

[Konata walks close to her, towered by a whole millimeter, which would make Hime taller everywhere on Earth but the United States.]

I don't think I've seen you around! I'm Konata Izumi, a student from Saitama Prefecture! Nice to meetcha!

For me it is the end of a thousand worlds full of magic and giant robots and fan fiction...

[Konata is not a child per se, but the headpat somehow manages to calm her amidst her whimpers. Looking up, Konata is at least comforted by the sight of a cute guy attending her.]

Have you had a collection so big and wonderful you could stare at it and feel wonderful about having it? I left my stuff back home...

[So she amps up her desire for attention.]

[Kirino's been wandering aimlessly through Galactica ever since he's... well, sort of settled in. He's still not even entirely sure he should be here.

He's stopped in the patisserie, although he's been mulling over what to get for the past few minutes.]

... Everything looks so good, it's hard to decide... [It's said to no one in particular. but the way he's trailing off almost invites a response.]

[Welcoming new students is part of the job for an older student. Mami doesn't mind. It's... better than her previous school. She doesn't have to hide who she is here. It makes her less lonely.]

[These are lies, Mami is always lonely]

[So she notices the pouting. Mami comes to a stop as she sees her pouting through the hallways, then she approaches slowly. Mami raises a hand and flashes that bright, pleasant smile.]

[He grinned a little.] Well not to brag, but I've collected some stuff before once my mom realized I was a artist at heart. I made a manga about the Precure and I was chosen by a magazine to run my stories in there.
