NEW BEGINNINGS

Spring is here and newest crop of students have finally arrived at Crux Academy and Nebulae Institute. Both campuses are abuzz with activity as first years filter in, some confused, others excited and honored to be attending such a prestigious institution. Class assignments would be found on the large bulletin board toward the front of campus, and while some friends may find themselves once again sharing the same class, others will be given the opportunity to nurture new relationships with future friends (or enemies).

Classes for the first day will be short, punctuated by a welcoming ceremony led by each school's respective headmaster and headmistress, as well as an upperclassman that has some significance to the rest of the student body. Students are then permitted to take the rest of the day for themselves, to get acclimated to the campus as well as Galactica, should they so choose. Why not explore the school? Take a trip into the city? Or perhaps get to know your dorm mate, classmates or fellow faculty members? Or perhaps, if you are that sort of person, terrorize the town? The choice is yours.

[ Ban, you are certainly in luck. Hearing the question, Lux turns, all smiles. The welcoming committee name tag is clear as day on her blazer. He may have even seen her around earlier in the day, directing frightened first years.

...Wow, okay you were really tall. Not quite her brother tall, but still. The teen looks up. ]

Of course. But if you have a question, maybe I can help you. That is what I'm here for, after all.

[Oh thank god, there was a welcoming committee. Smiling from under his shaggy locks, Ban pushed them up with a hand.]

Ah yeah, I'm just checking in with student services. There was a mix up with one of my courses and I wanted to make sure that [He peered at the paper] traditional magical girl off time things wasn't a misnomer.

[ Ohhh, that's what this was about. She would laugh, but that would be awfully impolite, so instead she'll just smile sweetly up at him. ]

Oh, of course. That isn't an unfair assumption. Some of the course titles are a bit, mmm, odd, we'll say. I think you should be all right, but if you want I can still take you, just to be on the safe side.

Oh, I'm Ban Kenji, nice to meet you. [He bowed a little.]

[Well, well. Not bad at all. His eyes follow the cream puff's flight path through the air to where it goes splat on the ground... or rather the eyes atop his hood do. His attack is soundly foiled but he doesn't seem all that put out by it, just smirking as he turns his focus back on Lux.]

You are? But that's so boring. [He drops out of the air, drifting down to the ground beside the discarded pastry and stomping a foot down on it for good measure. Somebody probably put a lot of work into making those things with their bare hands... it's the only fate they deserve.] And here I was thinking of trying something new and starting the year off with a good grudge, but I guess you're not the kind of person I'm looking for....

I'm Lux Crownguard, it's a pleasure.

[ Lux was used to the bowing, so to speak, but it was still a bit odd for her. Such formalities were meant for her prince, not for the guardians of the crown. Still, after being around people who did this regularly for so long, she at least figured out somewhat what she was supposed to do, and bowed a bit in kind. ]

That name--you're from Japan, right? I believe there are quite a few students here from that place. Hopefully that will make you feel a bit better about being brought here suddenly.

Ah yes at Kibogahana. [Which was a mouthful all around but he grinned.] I guess being brought here was a weird miracle in itself. I'm not particularly of the magic TYPE.

[Right, well. Today has been... a day.]

[Neptune's not completely sure how or why he's here, not yet. His best bet is that this is some form of new and exciting exchange student program that Haven Academy's put together. You know, without telling the students first. It's odd, but at the same time, he can't say for sure that it's not the sort of stunt Haven would pull. So it's either that or he's been abducted by magical aliens. Good... times...?]

[Neptune is sitting in the school's auditorium, where supposedly the entrance ceremony is set to begin. He's getting sick of just drumming his fingers on his thigh, though, so he turns to whoever is sitting next to him and stirs up a conversation.]

Hey. You from around here?

[His tone is either casual or flirtatious, depending on whether you are a boy or a girl.]

[After the introductory ceremonies were over, Neptune decided to take a little field trip into Galactica proper. He can be found in one of the many music/entertainment shops that dot the town, scouring the electronics section. He's muttering something to himself and looks mildly peeved.]

Don't know it... don't know it... don't know it... ah, this is just great. What a time to forget my phone charger.

[ Her eyes follow the hooded stranger as he drifts to the ground, and while she makes no immediate movements to show otherwise, Lux is immediately on high alert. Truth be told, this was a bad situation. They were in a populated area, and he could clearly see what she looked like. Transforming here, in front of him, would be unideal to say the least. ]

Sorry, I'm not here to entertain.

[ Tipping her chin up slightly, she gave him a sickeningly sweet smile. Cause trouble and you'll regret it. If it was a grudge you wanted, she would be more than happy to oblige. ]

If you're trying to provoke me, it won't work. Besides, it looks like you're by yourself today. Don't you know it's better to make friends on the first day of school instead of playing the lone wolf?

[ Good lord that was a tongue twister. Her sweet, cool exterior chips a bit in embarrassment as she completely butchers the word. She looks a bit embarrassed. Best just to give up.

Right, formalities. That was a thing there too, right? He wouldn't be the first person to call her that, but it felt so... distant. ]

If you're here, then obviously Headmistress Palida saw something in you. Likely you won't stay an "underpowered civilian" for long.

Oh, and you can call me Lux, if you prefer. That's what everyone calls me.

Members of the welcoming committee were interspersed through the crowd today, acting as ambassadors and general question answerers to any and all who needed it. Sitting politely with her ankles crossed, and hands folded neatly in her lap, she leaned forward slightly, tilting her head toward Neptune when she heard him speak. ]

[He nodded, rubbing his head a little.] I guess so. Lux it is then.

[He smiled just a bit, like he had an inkling of what the Headmistress thought.] Yeah, I guess so. There's so many different magical people here...

But the ceremony is about to start.

[ It seems your charm isn't quite up to snuff yet Neptune. Miss Justice and Self-Righteousness isn't willing to skip for you. ]

[ That gets a bit of a chuckle out of her. ]

We were all called, just like you. While there are quite a few students from what I assume to be your world, there are quite a few of us who aren't. It makes things interesting around here, to say the least.

[His hand brushed against the pocket where he hid his transformation item. While he wished he had been given a more sentai-ish transformation device, being able to carry on his friends legacy in another world was thrilling.]

[ She blushes a bit as Link offers his half of the pastry. That looked good, but that didn't mean she wanted his pastry, right? ]

[ and yet....she's totally taking the half of his pastry and takes a big bite out of it. Put your money where your mouth is, Hime. As she takes a bite of the pastry, Hime's eyes light up and, still through a mouth full of food, ] This is so good!

I'm pretty thirsty. Maybe getting me something to drink might jog my memory a bit.

[ says the girl who is still in the way. And not moving. And looks worked up. Hime might say she's fine but everything else screams 'she is not fine in the slightest' ]

Oh, right! Here, follow me. This place can be a bit confusing.

[ She begins to walk, albeit somewhat slowly so he can keep up. Not that he would have any problem with those long legs of his. ]

[Following alongside Lux, he grinned at the sight of the campus in full.] This is a great place. It's so unique...

Well, where we come from, there's two types of heroes. Three if you get technical. But there's no real Superhero School so to speak.

[Precure don't usually go to school for their stuff.] I'd imagine it's different in other worlds or other places at least.
