Spring is here and newest crop of students have finally arrived at Crux Academy and Nebulae Institute. Both campuses are abuzz with activity as first years filter in, some confused, others excited and honored to be attending such a prestigious institution. Class assignments would be found on the large bulletin board toward the front of campus, and while some friends may find themselves once again sharing the same class, others will be given the opportunity to nurture new relationships with future friends (or enemies).

Classes for the first day will be short, punctuated by a welcoming ceremony led by each school's respective headmaster and headmistress, as well as an upperclassman that has some significance to the rest of the student body. Students are then permitted to take the rest of the day for themselves, to get acclimated to the campus as well as Galactica, should they so choose. Why not explore the school? Take a trip into the city? Or perhaps get to know your dorm mate, classmates or fellow faculty members? Or perhaps, if you are that sort of person, terrorize the town? The choice is yours.

[He gives a laugh as those weird eyes on his hood shift away from Lux to look out over the crowd of people on the street instead.]

[Kirino's a little hesitant to take a plate for himself, but he does after a few moments. He takes a bite of one of the shortbread cookies, his face lighting up when he does.]

...Wait, really?

[He thought it was kind of weird that a little kid was enrolled, but had just kind of assumed that they did it differently where Kirino came from. But it turns out he's just not magical at all?]

Well, yeah, of course I do; I don't think I'd be here otherwise.

[He furrows his brow in thought for a moment.] It's more like... Magic is a thing that kind of just... if it happens, it happens? I didn't really think about it being a thing until it suddenly was.

Like I got nailed in the head with a soccer ball except the soccer ball was the ability to summon a glowy suit of armor and there was no actual blow to the head. [He's not very good at analogies.]

[Neptune just... nods slowly.] Seems, uh, legit. [Of course. If he's thirteen or whatever, then maybe he just got his powers recently? Or he's been living among normal people and not understanding anything about his abilities????? Jeez, poor kid. He doesn't know how to do anything.] How long've you had it?

[It's a combination of both, really. The look on Kirino's face turns a bit sheepish before he answers.]

[OoooooooOOOOOOoooooooh boy.] [Neptune shifts in his seat a little, to face Kirino better. He grins.] Well, first of all, my name's Neptune. Now I don't offer this to everyone [he holds his hand up] but since you're super new and I would bet money that the remedial classes here aren't as good as they should be: Do you want some help with that?

Ah-- [For a moment, Kirino's eyes widen in surprise, but the response is otherwise immediate--he nods vigorously.]

I'd appreciate it a lot. [There's a beat, before he adds--] And, ah... call me Kirino! It's nice to meet you.

Wow, what's with this tense atmosphere all of a sudden? It's like I offended you or something. Talk about rude!

[ Lumina, you know exactly what you did. Still, that gets an easy smirk out of the younger girl, who lets her hands swing behind her back. ]

I'm surprised, what are they teaching you in that school anyway? Oh, right, love and justice. How's that treating you? Doesn't look like it's really doing you any good.

[ Spider bro agrees. Was he nodding? ]

That's right. The students and teachers were have been summoned from their respective worlds in order to learn how to better defend them.

[ She pauses, her expression turning slightly dark. ]

[ Oh gosh it's so messy, how is she even supposed to read this? She doesn't have to look down much, Lux herself being quite petite at just barely five feet.

She tries not to react, although that comment gets a bit of an eyebrow twitch. ]

I would advise you get into some healthy study habits sooner rather than later.

[ Her expression turns surprisingly dark as her hand hovers near the pendant hanging at her chest. Don't make threats like that idly, friend. ]

Hmm... I'd have to admit, that my top favorite show right now is Nijiyome Academy Z-Cune Aoi, but at the same time I also enjoy more shounen stuff. Though that is more like Rampart Heroes, the classic Tokusatsu stuff.

...I'm learning some very useful information. Love and justice is simply the basis of what we learn.
